In September, October, November we have been looking up to the sky waiting for some rain.
Never thought it would be this dry in Cairns.
Small area between neighbour's jungle and our bedroom windows has been fenced sot that
the dog can't come and disturb the cats. The 3 older cat's don't like Bluey but the youngest Misu is all right with her. The window behind the ladder is for the cats. We have made a little hole in fly screen to be a flap door for them. They jump to the ladder and then go through the door to the bathroom and from there everywhere in the house. In our own house we plan to
build a cat enclosure outdoors. Just build a covered area with metal fence with lots of
things to climb to.

In the end of november we got these little duckling. Mother Mavis is the one that we brought with us from Woodstock. She is a muscovy duck. We never thought that they would reproduce with the father Elvis Duck that is a Khaki Campbell. Interesting to see what the babies will look like when they grow up.

An old building of Northern Cairns in the suburb of Stratford near the Barron river.

In stratford looking towards Freshwater. The railroad goes to kuranda. On it there is the
famous scenic rail, on of the great tourist attractions.

Barron river in Northern Cairns. On the left there is Stratford and Freshwater. Kuranda is up on the mountains on the right. They say there are plenty of crocodiles in the river. Our
Bluey dog sometimes takes a swim there.
There are no ducks in the river. For our ducks Timo made a tiny pond for the little ones to
practise swimming.
Timo's morning fun. Go out before sunrise. Take a long walk. Go to the beach when there is noybody else. During low tide walk to the sea along a small pathway in the sand. Look at the mountains, hear the waves and listen to be birds. Best tranquilizer you can get.
Yeat some houses in our area. We still keep looking and contemplating our future home.
Timo thinks best house is one hidden by bushes and fence.

This is our street. Many home owners have been making their front lawns. That usually means that they are planning to sell the house soon.
Local bananas. Nancy found a bunch near our beach. They got yellow very soon but after that black until we had finished all.

Scenery in Stratford, opposite the Cairns airport.

Christmas holidays we spent with our favourite activities, doing nothing and not travelling far away. It was quite hot and sunny so perfect for a little swim. We visited a few local creeks with Bluey and enjoyed the refreshing clear water.
Just another scenery. This should be rainforest, i.e. more green than it is now.

The little duckies are growing. They come to you to eat lettuce and tomato from your hand.
